I’m excited to share some news about WPCodeBox and its future.
Many of you know that WPCodeBox began as a personal project that I created while working on WP All Export at Soflyy. I enjoyed working with the team there, but I was so inspired by the growing community of WPCodeBox users that, with Soflyy’s blessing and encouragement, I left to dedicate myself to it full-time.
Bringing WPCodeBox from an idea to a fully featured product has been more satisfying than I can really put in to words. However, I’ve learned that running the day-to-day business side of things—like marketing, operations, and support—can be all-consuming. While I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned, those tasks have kept me from focusing as much as I would like on the product itself.
And that’s why I’m so excited to announce this new partnership with Soflyy. A real partnership, not an acquisition.
Soflyy will handle the business and marketing responsibilities for WPCodeBox, freeing me to focus on creating the powerful, user-friendly code snippets plugin that you all love.
Rest assured, our partnership leaves me with complete control of the WPCodeBox product and roadmap. With my time no longer consumed by running the business side of things I can dedicate myself to building new features, refining existing ones, and evolving WPCodeBox for our community.

Will lifetime licenses still be honored?
Yes, of course. WPCodeBox is my passion, and even if I did sell it entirely I would of course never sell to a buyer that wouldn’t commit to honoring the lifetime licenses.
What does this mean for the WPCodeBox product?
I can get back to what I do best: building.
Is WPCodeBox going to change its name or branding?
No. WPCodeBox will remain WPCodeBox. The partnership doesn’t alter our identity or focus.
Did you “sell out” to Soflyy?
No. This is a partnership, not an acquisition. I retain full control of the product and its future.
Is this partnership going to slow down product development?
Quite the opposite. Because Soflyy will handle business and marketing tasks, I can now devote more time to creating new features and improving what we have.
Will WPCodeBox become “bloatware”?
No. Feature additions will remain purposeful, with the sole goal of creating a lean, efficient tool. I have final say in the product roadmap. In fact, I have the only say in the product roadmap.
Is my user data safe under this new partnership?
Yes. Nothing changes in our commitment to user privacy and data protection.
Will there be any changes to your support or documentation?
Expect improvements, not cutbacks. Soflyy’s resources mean we can streamline and enhance support and documentation, create more video tutorials, and more. And it won’t take any of my time.
