AB Split Test Releases Dynamic Traffic Allocation
Tom from AB Split Test has just introduced Dynamic Traffic Allocation aka Multi-Armed Bandit (MAB) testing to the WordPress split testing and conversion optimization plugin.
Dynamic Traffic Allocation

Multi-armed bandit (MAB) testing is a variant of A/B testing. It uses machine learning to automatically allocate more traffic to the option that performs better during the test. Unlike static A/B tests, which wait for a fixed duration to analyse results, MABs continuously learn and shift resources in real time.
Standard vs MAB Mode
Find out when you should use dynamic traffic allocation:
- High-Traffic or High-Value Pages: Achieve better outcomes sooner at checkout, on pricing and lead gen pages by avoiding wasting half your traffic on poor-quality content.
- Secondary/Background Tests: Keep your main test running smoothly; weaker variants are quickly eliminated, enabling you to collect signals without interference. It is good for footer CTAs, trust badges and microcopy.
- Short Campaign Windows: Converge more quickly so that you can take action before the budget or promotion ends. This is ideal for news, launches, promotions and paid media.
- Exploratory Sprints with Many Variations: Try out lots of ideas at once and let the algorithm eliminate the obvious failures.
AB Split Test recommends the standard (Bayesian) approach, as you can obtain hard results faster. Dynamic Traffic Allocation aka Dynamic Traffic Steering is recommended when speed and revenue protection are more important during the test.
Enterprise CRO
AB Split Test is the only plugin that brings enterprise CRO to WordPress. It is available on the Teams plan and legacy licences, which support more than 20 websites.

What’s More?

In other news, AB Split Test has replaced old tables and charts with dynamic, filterable charts and graphs, allowing you to view your goals and sub-goals alongside new uplift information.
They have also introduced an option to label your variations and added support for scroll depth conversion. There is now also an option to disable AI altogether. Please note that the price of the Teams plan will be increasing soon!
