AdSense Changes

Advanced Ads 1.11 is going to display warnings from your AdSense account. These notifications should help you with the next step when verifying your AdSense account as a new user or detect problems like a missing ads .txt file. They have also started a manual with solutions to possible issues.

The list of ads from your AdSense account now only displays active ads, but can be switched to show all ads as well.

Ad Injection Into Related Posts

They had a few rare cases in which an ad that was supposed to be injected into the main content of a post was also being displayed as broken code in related posts below the content.

You can easily disable such output now using the “Secondary queries” plugin option.

WP Fastest Cache

Advanced Ads and Advanced Ads Pro are now compatible with the Render Blocking JS option of the WP Fastest Cache plugin.

Cache Busting With Less AJAX Calls

In some cases, cache busting falls back to an AJAX call. Since such calls have a heavy impact on performance, they found a solution to reduce them. Now, information such as the geo-location for a specific site visitor will be requested only once and then taken from the cache.

New “User Role” Visitor Condition

With Advanced Ads Pro 2.3 you can now make use of the new User Role visitor condition allowing you to display ads based on roles. This condition comes in quite handy for WordPress membership sites really.

Tracking URL Option Moved

The Tracking add-on now uses the same URL field as the basic plugin. This improvement fixed an issue with disappearing URLs when ad tracking was either enabled or disabled.

Ad Blockers Block Fewer Ads

Thomas made some changes to Sticky and PopUp ads so that less ads will be block by ad blockers. This change affects the containers created by Advanced Ads. It is still possible that the content of your ads is blocked if they come from external sources or contain stop words such as “banner.”

Advanced Ads Pro can be purchased from as low as โ‚ฌ39 for a Single Site license. However, there is also a free version available which comes with limited features. The All Access Pass and All Access Pass Long Term plans get you access to both existing and future paid add-ons.
