BuddyBoss Announces New Video System & Zoom Webinars

The BuddyBoss team is currently working on a bunch of amazing new features that are scheduled to be released soon. This includes their own BuddyBoss video system, blocking and reporting, and an advanced member access control system. They also finally released a Zoom integration.

Upcoming New Features

• BuddyBoss Video System
  They are building their own video system in the media component. This allows you to upload raw video files into the activity feed, groups, messages, forum replies, and documents. The uploaded videos will be compressed and then viewable as playable videos.
• Blocking & Reporting
  Members will be able to block other members from seeing any of their content. They can also report inappropriate content to be auto-hidden and then moderated by admins.

• Show Relevant Posts In Feed
  You can set the activity feed to only show posts that are relevant to you. This way you will only see posts from your connections, followed members, subscribed forums, and groups in which you are a member.
• Advanced Member Access Control System
  It will allow you to configure which social interactions members are able to access based on their WordPress role, profile type, gender, Gamipress achievements, and membership level. It will support a bunch of plugins including MemberPress, Paid Memberships Pro, Restrict Content Pro, Memberium, WooCommerce Memberships, Wishlist Member, and LearnDash Groups & Memberships.

Zoom Webinars

In December, BuddyBoss released the Zoom feature that allows members to schedule webinars from within social groups. Group members are also able to view a list of upcoming and past webinars and to watch webinar recordings. By the way, it also supports Gutenberg.
