New Features

  • Floating IPs Now Available For DigitalOcean’s Custom Images
DigitalOcean floating IPs are publicly accessible static IP addresses that you can assign to Droplets and instantly remap between other Droplets in the same datacenter. You can now easily assign floating IPs for DigitalOcean custom images.
  • Let’s Encrypt Wildcard SSL Certificates Support
They have added the ability to create wildcard SSL certificates for load balancers and Spaces using Let’s Encrypt to simplify the experience of certificate management.
  • App Platform Now Available In LON & TOR Regions
The DigitalOcean App Platform is now also available in DO’s London and Toronto datacenters. With this release, the service is now available in all regions.

In other news, DigitalOcean acquired Nimbella, a serverless platform provider. The serverless capabilities will complement the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings.
