ElevenLabs Announces New Actor Mode for Studio

The team at ElevenLabs has just announced the release of a new Actor Mode for ElevenLabs Studio, allowing you to easily use your own voice to guide AI narrators.

With Studio, you can create voiceovers from a script, narrate audiobooks, create podcasts or create AI voices in 32 languages. You can choose from thousands of voices in the ElevenLabs library or clone your own voice.

The AI voices adapt to emotional cues and allow you to adjust multiple settings including speed, accent and age. Until now, controlling voice settings has been text-driven.

Actor Mode lets you narrate a script in your own voice, controlling speed, intonation and emotion – just like an actor. Then seamlessly convert your performance into any voice from our library or your own cloned voice.

This gives you total creative control over the delivery of your ElevenLabs voiceovers and scripts. Actor mode is particularly useful for creators to fine-tune podcast intros and outros, voice-overs and narration for YouTube, TikTok or Reels, and audiobook narration with dynamic pacing and emotional delivery.
