New Features

Let’s take a look at what’s new in EWWW IO:

EWWW IO now comes with configuration controls for Speculative Loading, which was introduced in WordPress 6.8. Think ‘link prefetching’, except supported browsers can prerender pages too, making navigation on your site near-instant.

In addition, they have added a useful tool that allows you to check how many transients are in your database. You will find this tool in the SWIS side panel. Transients are temporary values stored in the wp_options table, but they don’t always get cleaned up.

And the best is saved until last – say hello to asset preloading! SWIS Performance already does this for CSS, but now you can preload anything with SWIS, including web fonts!
