FluentCommunity Releases New Follower Module & BuddyBoss Migration

Jewel from FluentCommunity has just released version 1.8.0 of the community plugin for WordPress, introducing a new Follower module, full BuddyBoss migration and more.

New Features

Let’s take a look at what’s new in FluentCommunity:

• New Follower Module:
  This module enables community members to follow each other and view only the feeds of their own followers. WPManageNinja has also ensured that members will not see any posts from blocklists, and that the system can handle a large number of users. Features include the ability to follow and unfollow users, block users, adjust privacy settings and curated feeds.
• Full BuddyBoss Migration:
  FluentCommunity has onboarded some large communities from BuddyBoss, rewriting the entire migration script and adding CLI commands to migrate posts, media, members and followers.
• Course Email Notifications:
  You can now set up customizable email notifications for your structured and scheduled courses, which will be sent to your students.

In other news, FluentCommunity has received a performance boost. The main feed query is now faster than ever — great news for large communities! They have also added media support for polls and max media per post customization settings.
