FlyingPress 4.5 With Self-Generated Preload List

Gijo from FlyingPress has just announced version 4.5 of their speed optimization plugin for WordPress, introducing a self-generated preload list, reduced CPU usage, improved preload delays, and more.

New Features

Let’s take a closer look at the new features and improvements:

  • Self-Generated Preload List:
Relying on sitemaps generated by SEO plugins to preload your pages is finally a thing of the past. FlyingPress can now generate its own list of pages to preload. No more external dependencies, just a seamless and efficient process.
  • Reduced CPU Usage:
They have also optimized their cache pre-loading system, resulting in a significant 300% reduction in CPU usage and a faster performance.
  • Delay Preload Between Pages:
To prevent server overload, they’ve implemented a 0.5 second delay between each page during the preload process. This ensures a smoother experience for both your website and your users.
  • Customize Preload Delay:
They have also added a filter that allows you to customise the 0.5 second delay. Tweak it to suit your individual needs and optimise your site’s caching.

Finally, FlyingPress has added a new filter that allows you to change the JavaScript delay timeout, giving you complete control over script execution.

PS: As of version 4.6.0, FlyingPress hosts Gravatar images locally. You can reduce external requests and enjoy improved website performance. Also, no more privacy issues with GDPR and others.
