HeySummit Streamlines Summit Registrations & Ticket Sales

As announced earlier in June, HeySummit just released an update improving the attendee experience of their online summit platform. They streamlined both registrations and ticket sales. In other news, speakers can now be set up as affiliates.

Better Attendee Experience

HeySummit just implemented an improved online summit ticket and registration flow. It’s a new, thought-out method for streamlining registrations and ticket sales through the platform.

Previously, the registration and the ticket process were completely different. This led to confusion among both attendees and organizers, especially for paid events. In some cases people registered for events and only knew at the beginning of the session that they had to pay. That wasnโ€™t really optimal in terms of user experience and conversions. Now, it’s the same process that takes less steps to complete.

They will continue to improve the new system and develop new ways for you to sell tickets and add-ons.

Speakers Can Be Affiliates

Summmit organizers are now able to set up speakers as affiliates and share revenue with them. Simply head over to the Revenue > Affiliates page or to the speaker settings form on the Content > Speakers page. Once this option is enabled, all current speakers will be linked to an affiliate account. If you later disable this option, it will only affect new speakers.

HeySummit also updated the Speaker Dashboard layout. The Here’s your share URL section at the top has been restyled to better fit in with the rest of the layout. The copy in this field is dynamic and indicates whether the speaker is an affiliate partner. It also indicates whether the speaker has been assigned an exclusive coupon code to share. Please note that every speaker can share URLs. Affiliates, however, will share main or coupon URLs with the required affiliate tracking information included. These URLs can easily be copied to the dashboard.

If speakers are also an affiliate partners, they can track referrals and sales in the new Affiliate Dashboard. Also, they can update their PayPal email address for commission payouts.

In other news, HeySummit introduced a new email unsubscribe dashboard for attendees. All unsubscribe clicks now take them to a page where they can fine-tune their email settings for all communication. Also you can now add custom registration questions to your registration flow via the Event Setup/Registration fields.
