Independent Analytics Introduces New AI Referrer Type & Report Grouping Options
Independent Analytics has just added AI referrer types, new filter controls and new grouping options for referrers and campaigns to its privacy-friendly analytics plugin for WordPress.
New Features
Shall we take a look at what’s new in Independent Analytics 2.13.0?
- New Campaigns Report Grouping Options:
While the Campaigns report has always shown every unique campaign, this can make it difficult to see how much traffic each campaign generates. Now, however, you can group the table by landing page, source, medium or campaign, allowing you to see data such as the total number of visitors from a specific source or the number of conversions from a campaign, regardless of the source or medium. - New Referrers Report Grouping Options:
You can now group your referrers by referrer type, which makes it easier to compare your marketing channels and find out which ones are working best for your site. - New Filter Controls:
Instead of requiring a match for all of the conditions, you can now set the filter to match any of them. - Improved Order Referrer WooCommerce Box:
The ‘Order Referrer’ box has been renamed ‘Customer Journey’ and now includes the customer’s arrival time, purchase time, landing page, number of pages viewed, device data and geolocation. - Support for WooCommerce Multi-Currency Plugins:
IA Pro now correctly reports sales figures for stores using the Curcy, YITH Multi Currency and WooPayments plugins. - New AI Referrer Type:
ChatGPT.com and similar sites are now categorized under the new AI referrer type. This makes it easier to see how traffic to your site from AI sites has changed over time. - New Spam Click Detection:
A spam detection layer has been added to prevent bot clicks from being included in the Clicks report.
In other news, Independent Analytics has switched to a new geographic map library. Previously, the world map was built using a Google library. However, it now uses a library called svgMap.
