iThemes Security Pro: Detect + Force SSL & Automatic IP Spoofing Protection

iThemes just added two new automated server checks to the One-Click Security Check included in their iThemes Security Pro plugin. They are going to configure the complicated settings of the Detect + Force SSL feature and automatic IP spoofing protection for you to further protect your WordPress site(s).

iThemes Security Pro is now able to automatically detect if it is safe to enable SSL and will inform you via a customized message. Once enabled it will redirect all HTTP page requests to HTTPS and force a secure connection to your WordPress.

Furthermore, the iThemes Security SSL settings module has been simplified which can be found at iThemes Security > Settings.

iThemes Security Pro adds an additional security layer to your WordPress site. It identifies remote IP entries to protect against IP spoofing.

Restrict WordPress Logins & Magic Links

As of iThemes Security Free (6.6.0) and iThemes Security Pro (v. 4.5.0) you are now able to restrict WordPress logins to only accept email addresses OR usernames.

If legitimate users are locked out during a brute force attack, they introduced a new Magic Links feature to provide an alternative login method for the Pro version.

Pricing, Support & Updates

iThemes Security Pro can be purchased from as low as $80 for the Blogger plan for up to 2 sites and the Freelancer plan for $100 for up to 10 sites. A Developer plan for securing and protecting unlimited sites is available for just $150.

All plans come with free ticketed support and updates for one year as well as 10 iThemes Sync sites.
