Passwordless Logins

Passwordless Login is a new way to verify a user’s identity without requiring a password to log in. This method is both secure and easy and increases the chances that the average user will secure their account. Eventually, you are already using a form of passwordless login without even noticing it, e.g. if you are using a thumbprint or Face ID to open your mobile phone.

Now you can use the iThemes Security Pro plugin to easily add passwordless logins to your WordPress site. It will send you an email containing a so-called “magic link” or a link that logs you into WordPress simply by clicking a button. In this way, this feature requires that you have access to the actual email account associated with the user, and provides an additional layer of security for users who log on to your site.

If you have previously enabled two-factor authentication, you will be asked whether you want to enable or disable 2FA when using the passwordless login method. By the way, this feature also works with WooCommerce, EDD, and LifterLMS.
