MainWP Introduces Clients – A Basic Contact Management System
The MainWP developers have just released the beta of version 4.3. The WordPress management plugin introduces a new default theme, new dark mode, new Non-MainWP Changes widget, a new Clients section, and more.
MainWP 4.3 Beta
All the new features listed below are available in the free MainWP plugin.
- New theme and redesigned modals with a more modern SaaS-ified look and feel.
- Built-in dark mode for the MainWP dashboard.
- New Non-MainWP Changes dashboard widget thats shows you any changes made outside of MainWP, hence the name.
- New Grid View in addition to the existing list mode.
- Groups are now called Tags. This is only a name change, as the functionality remains the same.
- The new Clients section is basically a simple contact management system (CMS) that allows you to add your client details to their sites. On the client card you can add client details, contact details, notes, and websites.
- In the client card, you can even suspend (and unsuspend) client websites so they don’t receive updates or theme changes.
- Improved Plugin & Theme Management layout.
- Privacy links from the Extensions page now open in modals that include a link to the extension developer’s respective privacy policy.
- The Install Purchased Extensions modal now indicates whether an extension is free or pro. From there, you can now also directly install and enable third-party extensions such as WPvivid Backup for MainWP from the WordPress repository.
