So you have created a lot of content for your website over time, e.g. a free tutorial series about How To Get Started With WordPress. Now you want to offer this to new users as a small incentive to register on your membership site. The easiest way would be to make the content in your account freely available to your members. But is that really efficient? Probably not. Nowadays you get bombarded with information and quickly lose track. A new user might start with part 1 of your tutorial and then forget that there are other parts waiting for him.

But we have good news for you. What you are looking for is called Content Dripping and is one of the killer features of MemberPress. Basically, it means that you will release your protected content at regular intervals or in batches to your audience. Expiring content on the other hand means the process of expiring access to protected content so that even paid subscribers can no longer see it.

With two MemberPress rules you will be able to drip and expire content with ease. It just takes a few simple steps to set up a drip feature on a rule:

1. Head over to your WordPress Dashboard > MemberPress > Rules
2. Click an existing rule or click the Add New button to create a new rule
3. Scroll down to the Drip / Expiration section on the rule’s edit page
4. Click the checkbox next to Enable Drip
5. Finally, set the Drip trigger
