Meta Box Announces New Modern, Intuitive Builder UI

Following the recent launch of Meta Box Lite (see The Pier #83), Anh from Meta Box has just announced a new builder interface for the custom fields plugin for WordPress aka the “Framework for Dynamic Websites”.

In response to popular demand for a smarter, more intuitive and modern user interface, the new Meta Box Builder interface has been designed to make creating and configuring custom fields smarter and faster.

Find out what’s new in this version:

• Live preview: All fields can be previewed in real time and have the same appearance in both the Field Group Editor and the Post Editor.
• All-in-one screen: Forget switching between tabs! Now you can edit fields, settings and locations all in one place.
• Better organization of settings: Field group settings and field settings are smartly organized in the right sidebar.
• Add-new-field Panel: Quickly find and drag fields directly into your list.
• New structure panel: Overview of all fields in a neat list for easier management.
• Contextual field actions: Quickly add, move, duplicate or delete fields.

The new Meta Box Builder UI, currently in alpha, blends seamlessly into WordPress and is designed to improve usability and save you time. Note that every feature and setting remains the same, just redesigned and reordered.
