MonsterInsights: New Scroll Depth Tracking For Google Analytics
MonsterInsights recently rolled out a new feature called scroll depth tracking. As the tin says, it allows you to track user scrolling on any page. This feature comes in quite handy if you want to find out if your users are actually reading long posts. Once you have identified when they lose interest, you can modify the content to keep them engaged.

Scroll Depth Tracking
Once you’ve enabled scroll tracking, MonsterInsights triggers events in Google Analytics as visitors of your WordPress site scroll down the page. You can easily see when your website visitors have scrolled down 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the page.
Scroll tracking then allows you to identify which of your pages are the most interesting and engaging ones for your website visitors and which pages could use a little bit of improvement.
Sounds interesting, right? There is absolutely no coding required at all. MonsterInsights comes with scroll depth tracking enabled by default, so you donโt even need to fiddle around with any complicated settings. All you need to do is setup the MonsterInsights plugin – and sign up to a MonsterInsights Plus plan or above.
