Did you know that from May 2021, Google will include Core Web Vitals in the factors it uses to determine a website’s ranking in its search engine? With Google’s dominant position in the search engines, website operators naturally want to rank well. You don’t know what to do and how to do it? No problem, MonsterInsights’ new Site Speed reports can help improve your core web vitals. Let’s dive right into it!

MonsterInsights can help you find out how fast your WordPress site is loading and gives you insights on how to make it even faster. This leads to a better user experience and to users spending more time on your website. Finally, this will also most likely result in an increase in conversions – and in better search engine rankings.

The new Site Speed Report provides you with an overall score for your site speed on both mobile and desktop devices along with the following important metrics:

  • Server Response Time
The time your website server takes to respond to your request and return data to load the site
  • First Contentful Paint (FCP)
It tells you the time it takes to load visual elements such as fonts and images for instance on your site.
  • Time To Interactive
This is the time when your page first loads, until the time when it stops loading and is ready to respond to user interactions, such as adding an item to your shopping cart or filling out a contact form.
  • Total Blocking Time
The time it takes for your visitors for being able to interact with your website.

MonsterInsights then offers a goal for each metric such as “You should be aiming for a time of 1.5 seconds or less.” for example and provides recommendations on how to improve the page load speed of your website.
