Newsletter Glue 4.0 Introduces New Ad Inserter Block
Following the acquisition of Newsletter Glue in April (see The Pier #95), version 4.0 of the WordPress newsletter plugin has just been released, featuring a new Ad Inserter block.
New Ad Inserter Block

With the new Ad Inserter block, you can now drag and drop ads from Broadstreet or Advanced Ads directly into your newsletters, without any need for code, uploads or formatting.
When it comes to newsletter ad analytics, the integration simply works with the analytics you’re already using. Both ad management solutions offer click tracking and performance insights for every email ad.
In the next version, you will be able to place zones/groups of ads and programmatically cycle them through rotations.
With Newsletter Glue 4.0, Tyler and his team are setting the framework for the upcoming Newsletter Glue email service. You will soon be able to upgrade to the Newsletter Glue ESP to send newsletters and manage your subscribers.
Mergetags
In addition, Newsletter Glue has introduced new merge tags. Although they are designed specifically for automations, they also work for manually sent newsletters. For instance, you can now include the title of your latest post in the subject line of your emails.
