👋 Event Query Loop & Data Blocks

At the end of this year, we chose not to renew our The Events Calendar licence as we intend to replace our events section with either Pie Calendar or, most likely, EventKoi. The latter has just released a new Event Query Loop block with templating, layout controls, and live editor previews in version 1.0.0. It’s a variation of the Core WordPress Query Loop block that allows multiple blocks to be nested inside it. Grid and list layouts are available out of the box, and you can customize these further with spacing, colours, and more. You can also filter by event start dates and events that take place within a set timeframe.

The new Event Data block is a single block that lets you select all the available data fields, including: Title, Description, Date and Time, Location, and Image. This block can be used inside the Event Query Loop block or added directly to the block editor in any post or template.

Previous versions of EventKoi only had pages for individual event instances of recurring events. Now, each recurring event comes with an event series page as standard.

Next up: A new Elementor integration.

WordPress

MailerPress 1.1 features a redesigned dashboard and enhanced contact management with built-in statistics, as well as support for custom fields.

Classic Monks 1.1.3 introduces auto image resizing on upload. Large images are automatically resized according to the limits you configure in the Performance settings, helping to reduce disk usage and speed up page loads.

Etch 1.0.0-beta-4 now offers full support for the main query in archive templates, meaning that there is no longer a need to create a custom query — the default WordPress query can be used directly.

SearchWP Live Ajax Search 1.8.7 adds ARIA attributes to the search forms to improve accessibility.

Bricks 2.2 beta introduces a new style manager, colour manager, fluid typography and spacing scales, a CSS framework importer, component slots and component style variants.

Annotatr is a new bug reporting and project management plugin for WordPress. It adds a layer to the frontend of the website, allowing clients to click on a part of a page, take a screenshot and submit the issue directly from the site. A free version is available on the WordPress repository.

With WPMonitor, you can explore detailed statistics, trends and keyword rankings for every free plugin and theme listed in the official WordPress repository.

OpinionCamp is a new, free, block-based plugin that makes it easy to collect polls, feedback and opinions from your visitors.

The free Neurogenesis Styler plugin adds advanced CSS controls to native Gutenberg blocks.

DevKit Pro 2.0 introduces a new Delete Transients option in the WP Reset Panel, a new Backup and Restore feature and a new Country Block panel.

E-Commerce

SureCart 3.17.0 introduces product variant overrides, enabling you to customize variants with custom tax, shipping, weights, purchase limits, and more. You can now also limit shipping to specific ZIP codes/postcodes, code ranges or partial postcode matches. New features also include autoplay and loop options for product page videos.

Woohoo 1.0.9 for Breakdance enables you to hide the quantity input field in a single template when a product is sold individually. You can also add product attributes to the email builder to display the selected attributes on each product.

Stripe launches Agentic Commerce Suite, which allows WooCommerce stores that use Stripe to connect with multiple AI shopping agents via a single integration. This makes their products discoverable wherever customers shop through AI.

Personalized Outreach

Sendr releases a major update to SendrAI, adding eight brand-new prompts tailored for local business outreach and lead qualification. Examples include ‘Find Google Maps reviews’, ‘Find local business decision makers’ and ‘Find competitor names’.

Automation

Pabbly Connect releases Crypto (Pabbly). This comprehensive suite of cryptographic tools enables secure hashing, encryption, signing and token generation directly within your workflows.

No-Code Website Builder

With Framer, you can now turn any grid into a packed masonry grid (video) with a single click. The new ticker effect (video) offers a fresh approach to designing continuous animations for text, images and more. It is compatible with the CMS, can be applied to any stack, and supports unique settings for each breakpoint.

SEO

Slim SEO 1.7.0 now allows you to edit the robots.txt file directly inside WordPress. The Pro version enables you to add CreativeWork, VisualArt and Brand schemas.

Laravel

Laravel Bastion, created by Steve McDougall, is an API authentication package inspired by Stripe. It offers environment isolation, granular scopes and built-in security.

Email Marketing

With Supademo, you can now export viewer data and engagement insights into a CSV file for in-depth analysis, reporting or sharing with your team. Whether you use AI voice, upload a video, or add your own voiceover, captions are now generated automatically. Server Management

xCloud releases a new auto-tune feature for MySQL/MariaDB configurations. With a single click, the system intelligently analyzes your server’s available resources and automatically applies values for maximum connections, maximum allowed packet size and InnoDB buffer pool size. Auto Tune will now run automatically for all newly created servers, ensuring your database is optimized right from the start.

In addition, xCloud introduces Global Backup Settings. Now, you can back up your sites more easily without having to visit each one individually. Effortlessly manage all your local and remote backups across all your sites from a single dashboard.

Digital Signage

You can now select your preferred language in the Juuno CMS. The interface updates instantly, enabling your entire team to work in their preferred language.
