Arrival of Apple Pay & Facebook Messenger at Shopify
This month, the Shopify team has announced several new features and integrations including the upgrade of their responsive checkout and the integration of QuickBooks for merchants in the UK.
Also, they announced Apple Pay and Facebook Messenger which we want to outline below.
Apple Pay
As Apple Pay is coming to the web, Shopify-powered online stores will be among the first to accept this fairly new payment system. There is no more need to enter both address and credit card details at checkout. Simply by using a smartphone and fingerprint, customers will then be able to place orders via Safari on their iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
This will definitely lead to a much better user experience at checkout – It’s lightning fast, convenient, simplified and will really increase mobile conversion rates.
This fall, Shopify merchants will be able to accept Apple Pay at no extra cost. Later this year, you can activate Apple Pay via the payment settings in Shopify.
