Shopify: How to Access Client Stores via Collaborator Accounts

Shopify have proudly announced so-called Collaborator Accounts which allow you to request access to and work on your client stores in a more streamlined way. With this brand-new feature, convincing customers to manually add you as (temporary) staff is definitely a thing of the past.

You can now simply request access right from within your partner dashboard. Also you can either request full access or just access to selected store sections such as configuration settings, orders or themes. Once approved by your client, you’ll be able to start working immediately.

Depending on the plan, your clients can have up to 15 staff accounts (for the Advanced Shopify plan). However, these new accounts will not count towards their staff limit.
