New Timeline Add-on

With the new optional Timeline add-on (formerly the Timeline widget), Voxel now allows you to create a social network with ease. You can also add a community to your business directory with ease.

It comes with the following modes:

  • Post Wall:ย Can be used to add commenting functionality to blog posts or to create an open discussion area, e.g. to create a Group custom post type (CPT).
  • Post Timeline:ย Activity feed of the post, e.g. businesses sharing updates with their followers.
  • Post Reviews:ย Review area for posts or products.
  • Author Timeline:ย Similar to the Post Timeline, intended for user profiles.
  • User Newsfeed:ย Shows the activity feed from all sources that the user follows. Note that you can add the Follow action to any CPT.
  • Global Newsfeed (New):ย Unfiltered activity feed (not just who you follow).

Of course, the Timeline add-on comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect, including link previews, text formatting, emoticons, comments, replies, reposts, quoted posts, search, GIF uploads and more.

What’s More?

In addition, Voxel has released (nested) Dynamic Tags v2 with a redesigned dynamic data modal UI, autocomplete suggestions dropdown, syntax highlighting, date comparison support, a new math expression modifier, and more. Finally, you get access to 10 new app events, including Review Approved, Comment Liked, and User Mentioned in Comment.
