Let’s take a quick look at the new features in Voxel Toolkit 1.6.0, the jack-of-all-trades for Voxel-powered WordPress directories:

  • AI Search, AI Post Summaries & more:
Your audience can now search naturally. Rather than clicking through filters, they simply type “Find Korean restaurants near me” and the AI bot takes care of the rest. There are also automatic post summaries, a TL;DR feature for discussion threads and a smart synonym search, so “pub” finds “bars”.
  • RSVP System:
Voxel Toolkit comes with a built-in event management with guest support, approval workflows, capacity limits and CSV exports.
  • Route Planner:
You can now display interactive routes complete with turn-by-turn directions. Ideal for tours, delivery routes and multi-stop experiences. Compatible with Google Maps, Mapbox and OpenStreetMap (OSM).
  • Post Comparisons:
Help your users make decisions with side-by-side comparisons. Use floating comparison bars, cross-tab sync and print-friendly tables to help them decide.

There are even more features, including temporary login links, message moderation, saved searches, timeline filters, external link warnings, and an enhanced TinyMCE editor with an add media button, text colour pickers, and a character map.

What else? Social Proof is currently in beta and allows you to display toast notifications showing recent activity on your site, such as bookings, orders, sign-ups and reviews.

In other news, Voxel Toolkit has enhanced team collaboration by enabling post authors to invite team members to assist with managing their listings.
