Webstudio Inception

After six months in development, Inception can generate web designs from simple user prompts, with no need for design expertise or prompt engineering skills. The result is creative, professional-looking websites delivered as HTML and Tailwind CSS. This code-first approach ensures that every design is ready for production and avoids the translation issues that are common in traditional design-to-code workflows.

Their goal is to generate designs that can be fully implemented and are optimized for accessibility, search engines, conversion and user perception. Inception will be launching soon in private beta.

What’s More

Now let’s take a look at the other new features in Webstudio:

  • Tailwind Support:
In the past, copying Tailwind markup from the web into a visual builder meant tedious manual tweaks. Whether you grab a component from Tailwind Plus (formerly Tailwind UI) or pick a section from Tailblocks, you still had to rebuild it by hand. However, with Webstudio’s new Paste Tailwind HTML command, you can now drop any HTML and Tailwind code straight into Webstudio’s canvas, allowing you to go from code to visual building in seconds.
  • New Element Component:
To unlock the full potential of the web platform, Webstudio has evolved into a more powerful HTML-aware editor. Much like modern code editors, comprehensive assistance is now received by users when writing HTML. The new Element component replaces many existing basic components, allowing you to create complete HTML semantics directly in the builder.

In other news, Webstudio has announced that a ‘Built with Webstudio’ badge must now be added to all free websites.
