Dokan Product Addon

The concept of product add-ons was first introduced to the WordPress ecosystem by WooCommerce. But this works only for a single online shop of a single vendor. Now Dokan has introduced this exciting feature to their WooCommerce multi-vendor marketplace extension.

With this add-on you can, well, offer free or paid add-ons for products that customers can easily add to their orders. It supports radio buttons, checkboxes, drop-down fields, and custom text inputs as well as flat, quantity-based or percentage-based fees. Think for example of a camera shop. An SD memory card and an extra battery could be great add-ons for a mirrorless camera. Such a feature saves customers the hassle of searching your store and – as a nice side effect – can increase your sales with ease.

Note that vendors can only get access to their own add-ons, but not to the ones created by others. To enable this feature for Dokan you also need to install the WooCommerce Product Add-ons extension.
