aheadWorks: Announcing Gift Card / Certificate 2.0 Magento Extension

aheadWorks have just released a major update of their Gift Card / Certificate extension for Magento. The code of the long awaited version 2.0 has been refactored completely. Thus, v2.x is not compatible with its previous versions. Also, no card codes or data will be imported.

This extension allows you to create and sell gift cards or certificates in your Magento 1 online shop. They can then be sent via a post office or – in urgent cases – via email.

Gift Card 2.0 is a less complex, yet a very flexible, customer-oriented module that comes with major updates for both the backend and frontend:

Features

Frontend

  • Card personalization: Add personal message to visual card designs
  • Preview of gift card emails
  • Responsive design of emails
  • Delivery options for virtual, physical or combined products: Via email or mail
  • Activation of one or multiple gift cards at checkout by entering the respective code(s)

Backend

  • New product type: Gift card
  • Fixed value or optional custom value
  • Gift code monitoring: Remaining balance as well as active, used or partially used codes, etc
  • Gift card import/export (v2.2.0)
  • Gift card code creation using a pattern (v2.2.0)

Upon purchase you will receive free updates and support for 90 days for the Community edition or 180 days for the Enterprise version. aheadWorks have also developed the extension Gift Card for Magento 2.
