Awesome Motive, the company behind such popular plugins as MonsterInsights, OptinMonster and SeedProd, has just announced the acquisition of SearchWP, the WordPress search plugin.

SearchWP makes it easy for your website visitors to search your content by relevance and quickly find exactly what they’re looking for.

Compared to the default WordPress search, however, SearchWP goes beyond just post content and indexes everything on your site. This includes custom fields (via ACF, Meta Box, Toolset, and Pods), text files, PDFs, custom tables, custom taxonomies, WooCommerce product attributes and much more.

It essentially provides you with the flexibility to create your own relevancy scale and customize the algorithm without writing any code at all.

As the icing on the cake, it gives you useful insights into what people are searching for, finding and not finding, so you can improve your website content accordingly.
