BuddyBoss Releases Group Subscriptions
Thomas from the BuddyBoss Customer Success Team has just introduced the latest feature to the BuddyBoss Platform and App. Say hello to Group Subscriptions that will definitely boost engagement in your community.
Group Subscriptions
With the new Group Subscriptions feature, your members will be notified whenever there’s a new post in a group they’re subscribed to. This increases overall engagement on your community site.
Simply enable the Allow members to subscribe to groups option in BuddyBoss > Settings > Groups > Group Settings in your WordPress admin.
Check out the features:
- A bell icon to easily subscribe or unsubscribe to a group.
- Instant notifications whenever new posts are created in a subscribed group.
- Dedicated subscription settings to manage all the subscriptions in one single place.
By default, a member is automatically subscribed to a group if they joined a public group and accepted an invitation to a public or private group. They are automatically unsubscribed if they leave a group or are removed from a group. Of course, they can customize notifications via the notification settings in their member profile.
In addition, BuddyBoss has also relocated forum subscriptions to the Account Settings > Notifications Settings > Subscriptions of member profiles in the frontend.
Now that this has been released, the BuddyBoss team will hopefully be working on reactions, comment likes and polls next. Keep your fingers crossed!
