Enhanced Security

You can now securely connect your apps built on App Platform to DigitalOcean Managed Databases as trusted sources. By adding your app as a trusted source, a secure connection to the database is established that only accepts traffic from the application and rejects other private and public connections, making your database more secure. This feature is available for managed Redis, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases and will soon be available for managed MongoDB databases.

Better Insights With Alerts & Monitoring

When developing and maintaining apps, notifications about the status of your app can help you fix problems quickly. That’s why DigitalOcean has added new alerting and monitoring features to the App Platform to keep you informed about the health and status of your apps.

Finally, DigitalOcean also announced an integration of the App Platform with Managed MongoDB, support for monorepos, and an integration with Stackbit.
