DigitalOcean: New Droplet Plans With More CPUs, RAM & SSD Storage
DigitalOcean, a pretty popular cloud computing platform, kicked off the New Year 2018 by announcing new revamped Droplet plans, which developers are going to love.
Droplet Plans
To cut a long story short, the new plans come with more CPUs, memory, and SSD storage whilst pricing still starts from as low as $5 per month. The new Droplet plans offer some of the best price to performance available, saving at least 29% and up to 55% compared to other leading cloud compute providers. Check out all the various changes below.
- 3 New flexible plans with different sets of CPU and memory with a reasonable price tag of $15 per month
- New plans with 48GB & 192GB RAM
- High CPU Plans are now called Optimized Plans
- Depreciation of High Memory Plans as a result of the improved Standard Plans
For the very future, DigitalOcean are planning to introduce Per-Second Billing. Then you will be charged for exactly the amount of time that you are using your Droplet(s).
