Elegant Themes Brings Divi Builder Experience To The Post Editor

At the same time when WordPress 5.0 along with Gutenberg was released last week, Elegant Themes released a brand new Divi Builder experience within the WordPress post editor. It brings the power of the Visual Builder right into the backend – with the same familiar workflow.

This new feature replaces the Classic Builder in the post editor, comes with an enhanced UI, more options, varied editing modes, and loads of new features that were previously only available in the Visual Builder. Also, the (optional) Visual Builder now loads and works much faster and is 100% visually accurate. Even when toggling responsive view modes. Apart from that, it is shipped with some missing features such as copying and pasting between pages. Nice, eh?

New Features

  • Hover Options
  • Dynamic Content
  • Copy & paste Divi elements between pages
  • Responsive view modes with 100% accurate page rendering
  • Customizable interface with efficiency improvements, e.g. Find & Replace, Extend Styles, Bulk Editing & Multiselect
  • Module Search, Option Search & Search Filters
  • Drag & Drop File Upload
  • Colour Manager & Magic Colour Suggestions

By default, you will see the block-based builder, but you can also use the visual editing mode at any time, without having to head over to the frontend.

The unified builder framework has some great advantages for both Elegant Themes and their community. Divi users can comfortably build within the post editor and on the frontend alike. Thanks to the single code base for the Backend Builder and Visual Builder, the Elegant Themes developers can add new features faster and deal with half as many bugs along the way.
