Elementor Announces AI & CSS Grid Container

Elementor has just announced the upcoming version 3.13 of its website builder for WordPress. Highlights of this release include Elementor AI, a new CSS Grid Container, improved Mega Menu widget, and more.

Elementor AI

Elementor AI allows you to create and enhance the copy of your WordPress site. In addition, the Code Assistant allows you to customise your website design with professional-quality custom code snippets without having to write a single line of code. The generative AI also comes with contextual prompt suggestions. This makes it easy to create consistent messaging across your site and translate it into multiple languages.

For starters, Elementor AI will be available in the content area, the Custom HTML widget, the Custom CSS area of any widget (Pro only) and Custom Code (Pro only). Elementor is now able to generate images using AI as well.

CSS Grid in Containers

With CSS Grid, Elementor has also introduced a new layout option that offers endless design possibilities, especially for grid layouts. When adding a new container, you can now choose between Flexbox and Grid containers.

Note that you must first enable the Flexbox Container and Grid Container features in Elementor > Settings > Features in the WordPress admin.

  • Active state with anchors – Indicate active states in your menu.

What’s More?

By popular demand since the launch of the Loop Builder, Elementor now allows you to choose whether the content of your post excerpt is automatically populated from the first few words of your post, or from your custom excerpt in WordPress.

In addition, they have improved the performance of the Author Box, Post Info and Price List widgets. Finally, they have made further accessibility improvements.
