Dynamic Data

With this new feature you can now use dynamic content in GenerateBlocks blocks, e.g. in headline and button blocks including dynamic links. Of course, the same applies to post titles, dates, metadata, category lists and much more.

In the container block, dynamic data can be applied to background images so that, for example, featured images and post meta can be used as background images.

Back in December 2021, the GeneratePress team announced that they would stop developing the WP Show Posts plugin and merge its features with GenerateBlocks. The new Query Loop block lets you create complex lists of posts of any post type directly in the WordPress editor.

The new Image Block has a range of options such as padding, margin, borders, and border radius. GenerateBlocks Pro customers can even apply effects and custom attributes directly to their images.

The headline block is used for captions, so you have full control over styling here.

In addition, dynamic images can be created using the featured image, the author’s avatar or even an image from the post meta!

What’s More?

GenerateBlocks also rebuilt the Colour Picker, Number, and Dimensions components from scratch. Lastly, they introduced a new inline background image option, a new default container width option, and a new panel memory for open editor panels.
