Groundhogg Adds Ability to Send Broadcasts to Company Segments

Adrian from Groundhogg has just announced the release of version 3.2 of the Companies add-on, which introduces search filters, an improved company view UI, the ability to send broadcasts to company segments, and to add those segments to funnels.

Search Filters

Groundhogg added custom fields for company records some time ago, but they weren’t really that useful because there was no way to search or segment companies.

Work on the search filter feature in core has allowed them to implement this for companies. For now, you can filter on basic company fields and all your custom fields, just like contacts!

Broadcasts & Funnels for Companies

Groundhogg users have always wanted to be able to send broadcasts to companies in the same way that you can send to contacts. While you can’t really do that for obvious reasons, they’ve made it easy to create a segment of contacts associated with a company segment.

So while you can’t send a broadcast to the company, you can send a broadcast to the contacts associated with that company!

There are two options available in the Broadcast Scheduler. You can either send an email to the primary contacts for the selected companies or to all associated contacts for the selected companies. If a contact is associated with more than one company, they will only receive the email once. The same applies to adding contacts associated with companies to funnels, the process is identical.
