The banned users feature allows you to completely ban hosts or user agents caught in brute force attacks, repeated 404 hits or when trying to log in with the user name “admin” on your website. Once a host or user agent is banned, they will no longer be able to access your site.

You will now find a brand-new Banned Users security card on your WordPress security dashboard where you can easily manage your bans. Now you have even more flexibility on how bans are enforced on your website.

Check out the following six ways to manage your bans:

  1. Filter banned IPs
  2. Search for an IP in a banned list
  3. Banned hosts list
  4. Selected IP options: Remove ban or view activity
  5. Banned hosts notes
  6. Manually ban IPs
