Designed by Philip Lammert and released under his foundry name Vibrant Types, Moucha is a new geometric sans serif super family. It features two extreme families, Moucha Vintage and Moucha Modern, representing the most classic and contemporary looks of the genre. The family is the perfect typographic toolbox for type pairing, offering a well-matched sans serif that is sleek, constructed, and not so grotesque.

With over 2100 glyphs (including 1538 glyphs), these fonts support 619 Latin, Cyrillic and Greek languages. Not only do they provide a pan-European character set, but they also include characters that are essential to the world’s smallest Latin-speaking minorities. Not even one percent of the world’s typeface families can claim this. In total, Moucha has language support for approximately 3.5 billion native speakers.

The typeface features alternative stylistic forms, including a set of even more static characters, a more open modern ‘a’, an ‘l’ with an italic stroke end, a less reduced ‘u’, and a slashed zero. Other font features include arrows, additional figures, and case-sensitive forms. The fonts are available from the foundry’s website and from popular font resellers such as Fontspring, I Love Typography, MyFonts, and You Work For Them.
