Pier #140 – Form Tracking in Usermaven, FluentPlayer Competing With Presto Player & Reviewbird Launch

Welcome to the 140th issue of The Pier. TranslatePress 3.1 has introduced a new add-on that enables you to use a different domain for each language.

Milestone: Usermaven has launched Form Tracking for its AI analytics and attribution platform. You can now see which forms are being filled in and which ones are generating leads. All detected forms are displayed alongside submissions and recent activity, as well as performance over time. When used with Usermaven’s Contacts Hub, mapped fields can automatically turn submissions into leads.

New Features: SureContact now offers multilingual support in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. With custom tracking domains, your email links can now match your brand, rather than using generic URLs. Additionally, there is a new workspace-level contact allocation option that lets you distribute your contact limits across different teams as required. In other news, you can also share email templates between workspaces and use media folders to keep your assets organized. There are also CSV exports for campaigns and workspace-specific time zones.

Competition: FluentPlayer is a new competitor for Presto Player in the WordPress video player plugin market.

Launch: Reviewbird is a new review collection and management platform for WooCommerce.

Reputation Management: EmbedMyReviews now allows you to manage your team with role-based access and fine-grained controls. You will also have more control over how your clients access features. You can now set whether every feature is enabled, locked but visible (showing an upgrade option) or hidden. They have also introduced QR code analytics, multi-language feedback forms, and widget improvements, such as the ability to copy widgets between locations, custom CSS support, and the option to display your agency logo on widgets and forms.

Acquisition: VBOUT has been acquired by ThriveCart and will soon evolve into ThriveCampaign.

Droip announces an infinite canvas, concurrent design across all breakpoints, element island, cleaner navigation, and a revamped interaction builder. In other news, Droip will soon be available on the WordPress repository.

Groundhogg 4.3 introduces Global Blocks, which allow you to create reusable sections for your emails and ensure that everything remains perfectly synced. For example, update a header, promotional banner, disclaimer or footer once and see the changes reflected instantly in every template that uses it.

PublishPress Shortlinks is a new plugin that generates shareable links for all your posts, including unpublished ones. Now available on the WordPress repository. The Pro version is coming soon!

Eventin 4.1.4 introduces a revamped list of event categories and tags, as well as a list of recurring events and calendar views.

Ollie Pro releases a new Smart Sync extension which allows you to apply changes to all similar blocks instantly by making them once.

PhantomWP 0.9 beta offers full ACF support, a preview inspector, a component highlighter, an error log viewer, and significant infrastructure improvements. Note that the LTD is now available again!

E-Commerce & A/B Testing

Previously, pre-orders could only be configured via the Merchant for WooCommerce dashboard. Now, however, you can set them directly on the product page using metaboxes for per-product overrides! You can also use a WYSIWYG editor for content displayed above and below bundled products, and there is more visibility control for ‘Buy Now’ and ‘Sticky Add to Cart’.

PersonaliseWP 3.4 offers comprehensive integration with WooCommerce Memberships with the Teams extension, providing you with full visibility of team-based activity across your site via an extended admin interface.

The free version of Growfund is now available on the WordPress repository.

LMS / E-Learning

LearnDash 5.0 introduces support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling LearnDash to securely connect with AI-powered tools and workflows. The MCP enables tools such as Elementor‘s Angie and developer tools such as Cursor to interact with LearnDash via prompts, facilitating workflows such as creating and managing courses as well as enrolling users and managing groups. Also, the REST API is now out of beta.

User & Client Feedback

Comments on Jira are now synced as nested/threaded replies between Jira and Userback, helping to keep conversations organized. Additionally, new Jira connections now use OAuth instead of API tokens for a more secure and reliable setup process.

WhatsApp Automation

Pabbly Chatflow introduces time and date messages in flows, designed for seamless WhatsApp appointment scheduling and smarter automation. Now, your contacts can select their preferred date and time directly within your WhatsApp flow, while the system automatically manages slot availability and capacity and sends out booking confirmations. In other news, it is now possible to export WhatsApp automation chats directly from the inbox.

Step-by-Step Guides

The Scribe desktop app now provides a live preview while you’re capturing, enabling you to spot mistakes early on and work more efficiently without disrupting your workflow. You can also modify click target shapes and add tables to Pages.

Social Media

The Nuelink Android app is finally ready for early access! With it, you can create, manage and schedule social media posts; manage multiple brands in one place; and upload and access media directly from your phone. The iOS version is coming soon. Stay tuned!
