Welcome to the 53rd issue of The Pier. Hetzner has recently released the new CX22, CX32, CX42 and CX52 server plans, which officially replace the current shared Intel® vCPU server plans. The new CX22 plan combines the best features of the two smallest deprecated server plans, offering the superior performance of the CX21 at the more attractive price of the CX11. The other three new server plans offer double the vCPUs and more attractive prices than their predecessors.

The wait is over! There’s finally a release date for LatePoint 5.0, the appointment booking and scheduling plugin for WordPress. Stay tuned for 24 June 2024.

On a personal note, Boris from Ahoi.dev has released ParadeDB Search for Laravel on GitHub and Packagist, which integrates the Postgres extension pg_search by ParadeDB and makes your Laravel models searchable (see Twitter/X).

  • Jonathan from Pie Calendar announces upcoming price changes for the Pro version of the WordPress event calendar plugin from 1st July.
  • WPCode releases the free Search & Replace Everything plugin.
  • MaxiBlocks adds 20 new block patterns for images, heros, footers, and blogs, as well as 3 new homepage templates for investment, therapy, and education.
  • Presto Player 3.0 has finally come out of beta.

Ecommerce

  • SureCart 2.28.0 adds a new setting that allows customers to remove their default payment method and the ability to collect both billing and shipping addresses at checkout. Coming soon: Limiting the trial period for a subscription to one trial and a new option to grandfather pricing or update the next renewal to reflect the new price.
  • Debutify 6.4 for Shopify includes a new guarantee section setting, which allows you to control the priority of media display when both image and video are set.
