Following up to the exciting announcement of making Cwicly free (see The Pier #57), Louis-Alexander from Cwicly has released an interesting live video about the reasons for discontinuing the no-code site builder for the WordPress builder, its comeback as open source with free access and community-driven development, future monetization, Tailwind-based templates and wireframes, and more. Exciting times ahead!

WordPress

FlowMattic finally releases a new integration with GamiPress, the popular gamification plugin for WordPress.

Dynamic Shortcodes from Dynamic.ooo now also supports Bricks.

JetSearch 3.5.0 introduces a new Additional Results section where users can choose what to see in search results: Posts or Users. It also now supports multiple languages via TranslatePress, making it easier to search in your preferred language. You can also enhance your search results display by organizing results in 2+ columns and quickly find specific items by entering their unique Post ID.

MaxiBlocks will soon release its new free WordPress theme that works with both the Gutenberg editor and the MaxiBlocks page builder. Currently in beta.

InstaWP 2.38.0 adds support for Duplicator plugin backups as staging sites, WaaS demo preview, large media uploads via S3 bucket and more.

SEOPress 8.0 now allows you to import redirects from SmartCrawl and improves sharing on Mastodon.

In PublishPress Authors, the new Author Pages feature allows you to showcase the work of each individual author with customizable author pages. You can also use the Author Lists feature to create a custom display of all your authors. You can sort, order and filter to show only the authors you want.

Event Tickets Plus now includes PDF Tickets, Apple Wallet passes, and automation with Zapier and Microsoft Power Automate. Events Calendar Pro now includes Virtual Events, live streaming, scheduled video links, and more.

Ecommerce

The first beta of SureCart 3.0 includes a new Products custom post type that allows you to add custom fields, local media storage and new styling options in the Product List and Product Page blocks, as well as massive performance improvements. In a later beta, you will be able to use the Bricks and Elementor query loop to create custom product grids.

Max Addons for Bricks Builder introduces the new WooCommerce Thank You Page Builder, which comes with Billing Address, Order Details, Order Overview and Shipping Address elements.

Elementor Hosting makes the migration process easy. Simply use the optimized MigrateGuru flow for a quick and effortless migration that doesn’t disrupt your site’s uptime.

Visual Website Builder
