Welcome to the 38th issue of The Pier. This week Katie from Barn2 announced a new home for seven of their paid and free WooCommerce plugins. Kestrel, a new venture from the former co-founders of SkyVerge (now part of GoDaddy), has acquired WooCommerce Variation Prices, Express Shop Page, Shipping Calculator, Product Sample, Discontinued Products and more. Existing customers with annual and lifetime licenses will continue to receive full support, updates and maintenance.

This week I’m sending The Pier a little earlier than usual, as I’m currently waiting at Delhi airport for my connecting flight.

YITH WooCommerce Ajax Search 2.1 now comes with synonyms support, tolerance to prevent typos, search statistics and multiple layouts. It also allows you to highlight specific products in search results and is 100% mobile friendly. Finally, you can choose from multiple layouts.

  • FluentCRM 2.8.45 adds user role based contact filtering and a new WooCommerce subscription expiration trigger. The BuddyBoss/BuddyPress integration now allows you to tag contacts when they join a group directly or via email invitation.
  • Tyche Softwares will soon be offering custom WordPress and WooCommerce plugin development and website migration services. Join the priority list!
  • Louis-Alexander from Cwicly surprisingly announces that he is going to stop developing the Gutenberg Toolkit. More details on the Cwicly website.
  • Confetti 1.13.2 now integrates with Fluent Forms.
  • Kadence Cloud is rebranded as Kadence Pattern Hub.
  • Elementor announces a new Lite hosting plan for just $2.99 per month for the first year, available from 6 March. It will include the free version of the Elementor Page Builder.
  • FireBox announces three new Smart Tags for easy pop-up personalisation, including Cookie, POST Data and Geolocation Smart Tags.

  • ThriveDesk has rewritten its WordPress plugin from the ground up. Version 2.0 comes with a new UI, seamless onboarding and integrates WP Portal with your knowledge base.
