Welcome to the 63rd issue of The Pier. Astra has introduced a brand new Astra Style Guide in version 4.8 that simplifies site customization by allowing you to change colours, buttons, typography, site titles and logos all in one place.

Nelson from SurelyWP has launched a new Support Portal add-on (see below) and announced an upcoming new Tooltip add-on for online stores powered by SureCart. For the Services add-on, they are developing two new features including Recurring Services and Service Milestones.

🤙 New: Gravity Connect

Developed by Gravity Wiz, Gravity Connect is a new suite of plugins that provide deep integrations between Gravity Forms and services such as Notion, OpenAI and Google Sheets. Each connection is installed as an individual plugin, similar to Gravity Perks, ensuring your site stays fast.

Coming soon: Connections to Airtable, Excel 365 and Google Calendar.

WP Travel Engine releases 10 new Elementor widgets, including Advanced Trips, Trips Accordion, Trips Module , Trips List and Featured Trip.

PublishPress Planner now comes with a sleek new interface that allows you to write, schedule and publish your content entirely within WordPress.

MemberMouse now allows you to easily set up automatic billing reminders to notify your members of their upcoming payments.

WordPress VIP now powers The Onion (Nick Gernert via LinkedIn).

E-Commerce & Affiliate Marketing

Siren Affiliates announces new integrations with Easy Digital Downloads and North Commerce coming next month. In addition, an upcoming store credit feature will allow affiliate programs to pay with store credit instead of cash.

WooCommerce Wholesale Pro 2.2 adds a new option to redirect B2B users to a custom URL after registration. There is also a new option to display content from the wholesale registration form in the email to the administrator and the ability to set the main shop page as the wholesale shop page.

Mini Plugins releases a free Birthday for WooCommerce plugin that adds a birthday field to the checkout page, my account page and user profile page.

Hosting

Liquid Web introduces Bare Metal Server Hosting.

xCloud adds vulnerability scanning through Wordfence.

Bit Apps launches new WordPress staging platform called toWP for testing any WordPress plugin. Basically a lightweight and free version of InstaWP.

Uptime Monitoring

Better Stack now allows you to trigger a new incident by explicitly reporting a failure when making a request to the heartbeat URL by adding /fail to the URL. You can also now select multiple incidents and acknowledge, resolve and delete them with a single click.

Customer Support

Chative introduces free real-time monitoring, allowing you to see who’s on your site right now and understand their behaviour with data on time on site, location, device and current page. You can also start conversations with them directly.

Email Marketing & Transactional Emails

MailerLite: Integrations with Wix forms and Wix eCommerce are on the horizon.

Email threads are now available for MailerSend Starter, Professional and Enterprise plans.
