Welcome to the 73rd issue of The Pier. This week, Pixelmator signed an agreement to be acquired by Apple. The deal is subject to regulatory approval. Also, Printful and Printify are merging to create a mega company in the print on demand (POD) industry.
In addition, Kevin from Automatic.css has shared his thoughts on the State of ACSS in 2024.
Conversion Bridge 1.4 now integrates with Divi 4, allowing you to easily add conversion tracking to all button, call to action, form and email opt-in modules with a single click. It also integrates with Umami’s new revenue tracking feature and works with Bricks if you want to build sites using a class-only method.
Here is a selection of the latest and greatest blog posts we published this week on Ahoi.dev. You will also find some interesting industry news, the latest directory listings on The Port, job openings, and deals. Enjoy!
🤙 AgentWP in Public Beta
After announcing AgentWP in alpha back in March (see The Pier #40), the expert AI assistant for your WordPress site is now in public beta, with a focus on conversational assistance. While AgentWP can help you with site-specific insights, it won’t currently perform actions directly on your site, such as running SQL, navigating, or executing tasks.
Current free features include vision integration, coding support, content creation and site understanding, which are available for free and use premium AI models from Google, OpenAI and Anthropic. Early bird pricing available.
By the way, two years ago, they launched an AI IDE tailored for WordPress called CodeWP, which helps developers generate code and will soon be integrated with AgentWP.
