Spaces Engine For BuddyBoss Rolls Out Ratings & Reviews

You haven’t heard of Spaces Engine yet? Basically, it’s the missing piece of the puzzle if you want to allow companies to showcase their business in your community. Think of it as Facebook Pages or LinkedIn Company Pages for BuddyBoss.

Spaces Engine just released a highly anticipated feature called Ratings and Reviews!

Ratings & Reviews For Spaces

Members of your BuddyBoss community are now finally able to leave reviews for every business entry aka Space. They can even leave sub-ratings for custom parameters such as amenities, food & drink, cleanliness, room service for example.

Check out the features for members:

• Members and users can leave reviews and ratings for Spaces and their parameters
• Members can upvote or flag reviews.
• Reviews count visible on member profiles.
• Reviews filters for each Space including Most/Least Helpful, Latest Review, etc.
• New Write a Review CTA
• Overall rating in Space Header/Cover image.
• Slider & Lightbox: Reviews can have multiple images attached

Site admins can:

• View and manage all reviews in the backend
• Enable/disable reviews for Spaces
• Enable/disable the option for Space owners to reply to reviews
• Create and manage all sub-ratings for Spaces

Lastly, they added a new shortcode that allows you place your Spaces index anywhere on your site. It comes with loads of parameters to hide or show elements such as title, categories, and locations. They also introduced pagination on the Spaces archive page.

What’s Next?

They are currently working on an integration of notifications with BuddyBoss, e.g. Thomas has reviewed your Space X, Your review has been upvoted/flagged, and Space X has replied to your review. This update is scheduled for March 2022. Stay tuned!
