tabExtend 3.0 with Refreshed UI & Improved Performance
Gustav from tabExtend has just released version 3.0 of his tab management extension for Chrome, Edge and Brave, bringing a new, refreshed user interface design, as well as stability and performance improvements.
New Features
The entire user interface has been refreshed – from animations and modals to search, menus and items. The underlying platform has also undergone a major upgrade for improved stability and performance. What’s more? Let’s find out:
- Tabs List: The classic list of active tabs now lets you search/filter tabs, perform more actions, and view and edit your tab groups.
- Tab Groups: In the tab list, you can now view tab groups from your browser, change their name and icon, and seamlessly synchronize them with your browser.
- Search: Search is now a separate thing in its own right, and can be accessed via the search icon in the right-hand corner, or by using the keyboard shortcuts โ/Ctrl + K.
- Workspace Grid: The previous Workspace Picker is now the Workspace Grid, a separate view that gives you an overview of all your workspaces and allows you to quickly drag and drop categories to move them around.
- Settings: They are now more powerful than ever, allowing you to customize more of tabExtend to your liking. For starters, they have removed the old compact mode and replaced it with a new global size setting for items.
Finally, tabExtend now allows you to read, write, share and do everything you can do in the browser extension on the web, except manage your active/open tabs.
