WP Ultimo Announces Release Candidate For Version 2.0 & Price Change

The WP Ultimo team has just announced the highly anticipated release candidate for 2.0, a final release date and a price change effective January 2022 for the recurring plans. This will also affect their Lifetime plan for unlimited sites.

WP Ultimo 2.0 RC

WP Ultimo 2.0 is a complete rewrite and goes beyond a pure WaaS plugin for WordPress Multisite. It is really a framework for developing web apps using WordPress – basically a SaaS framework.

While the WordPress ecosystem already offers pretty much everything you need to create your own SaaS, WP Ultimo fills the gap by providing billing and account provisioning/management.

Version 2.0 is not 100% stable, but much more production-friendly. However, there will still be hiccups here and there. The final stable version will be released on 21 November 2021, the fifth anniversary of the WP Ultimo project.

Pricing Changes

Since version 2.0 is resource intensive, they will change the pricing structure to reflect the high value so that they can also grow the team accordingly.

Starting January 1st, 2022, their pricing structure will be as follows:

• Starter – 1 Network – $247/year – Free Add-ons
• Plus – 1 Network – $347/year – Pro Add-ons + Free Add-ons
• Pro – Unlimited Networks – $547/year – Pro Add-ons + Free Add-ons

Lifetime Pricing

• 1 Network – 3 years of support – Lifetime Updates – $997
• 3 Networks Pack – 3 years of support – Lifetime Updates – $1997

The current Lifetime offer with unlimited networks for $499 will be discontinued. However, they are currently offering a limited number of licences, up to a maximum of 500. Get one while they last!

Note that existing customers of both recurring and lifetime plans will be grandfathered in the old pricing/networks quota until they cancel their subscription.
