Advanced Ads Improves Click Fraud Protection

Click Fraud Protection

Click fraud occurs when a user clicks on an ad without being interested in its content and you still charge the advertiser for that click. Ad networks such as AdSense temporarily suspend ad delivery for accounts with an invalid traffic warning.

So how does the protection work with Advanced Ads? To put it in a nutshell: Ads will now disappear immediately after reaching a pre-defined click limit which can be defined at Advanced Ads > Settings > Pro.

In the options you can set

• The number of clicks per ad before it will be hidden
• The time period for reaching the click limit
• The number of days a user should not see the ad after clicking too often

Note that you should enable cache-busting if your are using a WordPress caching plugin such as WP Rocket.

Since version 1.24, you can now use the block editor to design your ads and then transfer them to Advanced Ads. If you are using Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) on your WordPress site, you can now enable Auto Ads on AMP pages at Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense.
