CheckoutWC 8.0: New Template, Abandoned Cart Recovery & Variable Order Bumps
Clif from CheckoutWC has just announced version 8.0 of their conversion-optimised cart and checkout page for WooCommerce. Meet a brand new template, variable order bumps, innovative new usability features, and more.
New Features
Let’s take a look at the new features and improvements that will be released over the next few weeks. Store Policies allows you to set links to your terms and privacy pages that open in a modal window at checkout.
Groove Checkout Template
Inspired by the Stripe Checkout design, Groove is the first checkout template to support dynamic colours. When you set a custom background colour for the cart summary sidebar, all other colours will automatically adapt.
Cart Variation Editing
Customers can also edit variable cart items directly from the checkout.
Variable Order Bumps
Store owners can now offer a variable product with all the product options available on the single product page as an order bump, e.g. colour, size or style.
Abandoned Cart Recovery
Version 8.0 also includes an exciting new Abandoned Cart Recovery feature to help store owners recover lost sales. This is done by sending customizable email reminders to customers who have abandoned their shopping carts, offering them discounts or free shipping to finally complete their purchase.
New Order Bump Locations & Actions
You can now specify new output locations for Order Bumps, e.g. below Cart Items, above Express Checkout, or below the Complete Order button. New Order Bump actions allow you to set a list of products to be removed from the shopping basket when an order bump is accepted, and to apply free shipping.
What’s More?
CheckoutWC also integrates with SendWP. Finally, they have announced a new Suggested Products Carousel for the Side Cart, Post Order Bumps, and an Email Address Domain Autocomplete feature. Stay tuned for the end of April release!
