DigitalOcean just announced the acquisition of CSS-Tricks, a blog with more than 6,500 articles, videos, and guides focused on web design and development including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.

Acquisition Of CSS-Tricks
CSS-Tricks will expand and complement DigitalOcean’s existing content offering which has been focused on backend development, increasing DigitalOcean’s reach to front-end and full-stack developers.
What’s next? CSS-Tricks will continue to operate as a standalone website supported by DigitalOcean. Of course, all content will remain free and accessible to everyone. Chris Coyier, the founder of CSS-Tricks, will support CSS-Tricks in an advisory capacity.
DigitalOcean will continue to publish new front-end content on CSS-Tricks. Both existing and new authors can participate in the Write for DOnations program, which compensates authors for their contributions with up to $400. They can also choose a tech-focused non-profit organisation or charity to receive a donation from DigitalOcean.
