DigitalOcean Load Balancers are now able to easily handle up to one million requests per second or one million simultaneous connections.
You can now determine how much traffic you want to allocate to your load balancer. For example, you can start with 1 node for $10 per month and scale up to 100, gradually increasing the capacity.
It’s also much easier now to add and remove nodes based on the amount of traffic you expect for your application. Especially if you need to adapt to an increase in traffic, such as an e-commerce website that might see a surge in traffic during the busy sales season around Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
